Susan to duet with Elaine Paige
Posted by SBFII Admin on April 20, 2009

Susan Boyle is set to record a duet with her idol Elaine Paige after the West End Star was blown away by Susan's performance on Britain's Got Talent.

susanelaine.jpg

Elaine said "It looks like i have competition. Perhaps we should record a duet. Susan is a role model for everyone who has a dream."

There are two songs they are tipped to record. The first is a special version of 'I Dreamed a Dream' and the other is the famous duet 'I Know Him So Well' which Elaine sang with Barbara Dickson in the video below.

What would you like to see Susan and Elaine perform together?.

A dream come true, indeed!! Susan will sing with Elaine, Josh, Celine and many more...she is a beautiful spirit from above-sent to remind us of so many human frailities and teach us new lessons- her own modesty, unselfishness, humour and pure love of music is an example to everyone who has a dream for themselves...live your dream, Susan...Bless you

If singing with Elaine is her dream - let it be! She is a phenominal talent and a beautiful human being. I will definitely buy any CD that Susan records!!!!!!!!!!

Performing a duet is not a bad idea, but it is too soon. Susan Boyle has given millions around the globe that 'take my breath away' feeling and her voice is like a river streaming with an echo . Miss Boyle should grow into her own because when she sang 'I dream a dream' and belted it like thunder in the sky, I wished right there for more of her. So no, no duet. Miss Boyle has already made her mark and is growing fast into her own. God bless everyone!! from Texas

I think Andrew Lloyd Webber should write a new song for Elaine and Susan to sing together.Elaine Page is reviving her career because of Susan. She needs Susan more than Susan needs her!!!

I still dont why Susan wants to be a professional singer like Elaine Paige when she is way far better than her. But if she could record a song with Elaine then that'd be a dream come true 4 her. I listen to her singing “I dreamed a dream” every single day since the show started and I cry all the times. Love her so much, cant wait 2 get a hand on her CD. Wish time goes quicker. :x

Susan, I understand that Elaine Paige has already suggested that you record a duet with her--if you really want to do that, then go for it--but YOU pick the song, okay? Frankly, I'd rather hear you go solo, although this particular duet 'I Know Him So Well' would make a fine selection. You probably have all your songs already lined up, for what you intend to sing on 'Britain's Got Talent', but would it be too much to hope to hear you sing 'Memory' (from Cats) one day soon? What your lovely voice could do with that song--talk about 'rocking the world', never mind any live audience you'd perform it in front of! At this point, it's 'whatever you'd like to do' that is fine with me! So long as I do get to hear more music from you, that is. :-D

I am a child of World War II and remember a "frumpy" Kate Smith who bowled us all over with "God Bless America" among other great songs. No seemed to care that Kate was overweight and not particularly pretty but she had a fantastic voice. I am a soprano and have enjoyed singing for years but am now helping a friend who has a world class voice like Susan's and could lose a few pounds. I am sponsoring her for church events and wish that she would enter America's Got Talent as she would win just like Susan. Susan, you go girl!

Susan said the wanted to sing like Elaine, to be LIKE her, she did NOT say she wanted to sing WITH her! ....Dear Susan, DON'T MAKE A VIDEO WITH ELAINE...MAKE YOUR OWN CAREER FIRST!!! GET YOUR DUE FIRST!!! BE SMART & BE WISE! DON'T BE LED INTO ANYTHING UNLESS YOU ARE ON STAGE, ETC. AS THE ONLY STAR! Elaine doesn't need you to help her career and you don't need her backing either! Perhaps LATER, MUCH later, then see if she will stand beside you and sing a video duet. All the old 30's & 40's Hollywood TOP STARS were VERY JEALOUS OF SHARING THEIR SCENES & THEIR OWN GLORY WITH ANY OTHER STAR, AND THEY STAYED ON TOP BECAUSE OF IT TOO! SO BE RUTHLESS & GO FOR YOUR OWN CAREER! GODSPEED TO YOU & YOUR FUTURE!

Another dream come true for Susan , I'm so happy for her. I listened to what Patty LaPone said about Susan singing the song she "originated" in Les Miserables and she was not gracious at all. She had a sort of curt "Good Luck" to say and Ms Paige is thrilled to know about Susan's talent. It would be lovely to hear them sing a duet !!

Susan, please make a your own cd without anyone. You are the best. I get chills everytime I lisen, and I lisen often. You are much appreciated. Can't wait to hear more.

I want to hear Susan alone, too. I join everybody else in saying Susan is her own star, not a "back-up" or a "do-up" for this Elaine's fading career. Elaine had her time to shine back in the (1960s?). In the video, the 2nd singer is just a backup with Elaine carrying most of the song. This is Susan's time to shine.
Posted by MJ from USA on April 20, 2009
I'd die if Susan sings "This is the Moment" and "Once Upon a Dream" from Jekyll and Hyde (broadway show). I will bawl my eyes out. She will blow everyone away. with that voice she can do it with these songs. oh how i wish she'd sing these songs.
Posted by kittywinterz on April 20, 2009
I agree with mimi2! I want to hear Susan alone! Not as a back up! I want Susan to shine and not to be a backup!

I would like it with a -respectful of both parties- producer but not 'I dreamed a dream'....that is a magic moment for the world and Susan, and it should be left with just her in our heart's memory. Find a different song for them.

Im sorry but I listened to a song by Elaine and wasnt impressed. I could listen to Susan all day long. So I say Susan should just record by herself. She is too good to be doing back up for someone else. Go Susan!

why US at all when the conclamered is europe besides for a lot of promo "tours" US as marked is weak you average double income base on the continent compared too US.

and is why Madonna and other quallities based themself in the UK.

believe it or not, US besides for the promo touring, your socalled talent, is all there is and that, is only if she stay on major shows like broadway.

and even, she have a voice and even she can keep it up, theres still things in the toolbox she can't avoid like common colds weather changes and jetlag there all effect your accet talent "your voice".

you try to go on a show in broadway for 10 month straight and you don't have a couple people say "I thought her talent was greater" it's like this " you cant make a masterful performance day in day out you try your best to do so but lets face it were not different from anyone else we have problems on dayly basic too, just like anyone else have.

but my feeling is, you're all going on the ship just like titanic, in the end she get's the fame, most singing stars has and then, all is going to envy, her wealth and fame and then, you can all hate her for having the talent.

kinda funny, how it all goes, with new discoveries, when they get, a little down the line, suddenly "angel" gets to something, she earn to much, or have got to far and jealousy, changes the persona you was. when new and untested you were.

Pierce has asked Susan to dinner and she's accepted. They've connected once again.

They've shared many lifetimes in various capacities, always connected to music and entertainment where they have both been famous. Susan came to Britain's got talent to fulfill her destiny and to again connect with a soulmate.

It will be interesting to see what kind of connection they forge in this life.

God bless them and their long time positive and successful connection(s)!!!

Within the context of her amazing introduction to the world, and considering that Elaine Paige is her mentor, I think the perfect song for them to duet would be "To Dream The Impossible Dream"! However, I agree with others that it should be a one time event. Susan should stand on her own and bring her own special warmth and magic to those of us who have already fallen in love with her uniqueness. It is obvious she has the ability to style a piece of music from her soul, as singers like Peggy Lee and Caren Carpenter, and even Patsy Cline once did. I'm looking forward to her first CD, "Susan Sings the Hits of the Past" (in her own inimitable style)!

elaine paige and barbara dicksons duet, is up there as masterful performance, without takeing anything away from Susan, lower there standards, to higher someone elses talent, don't make there performance less.

and if any here have ear for music, is a performance there's way above, average and makes elaine paige, what she is and what she was, one of the greatest metzo sopranos in musicals, so higher Susan on her perfomances and her standards and stop, compare her to Elaine, because thats like comparing apples with oranges and don't get the taste of pineapples.

and by the way, my comment towards duet with the great elaine paige, was from cats, "memories" the epidemy of the old cats towards the beauty, of the young cat and is for real, in a way, what this is all about.

fitting in and not too wash, 3 decades of greatness away, from elaine and state, that Susan in one performance have surpassed her, is not only redicoulas but must be stated by someone there don't have a clue about what it's all about, in the end, I wont back down and state any performance, I ever made. will/would surpass Elaine's long life dedication too music by her.

We all love the underdog, in whatever, flavor it comes in, "the stage" in the end is were the perfomance count, and down the road, everything is just like memories, everyone, comes and goes and will, be remembered, for what they are and what they was, or atleast, was what I thought.

No No No, please don't let Elaine Paige record a duet with Susan - talk about Ms Paige getting on the Boyle bandwagon!

Susan doesn't need Elaine! It is absolutely the other way round - Elaine needs Susan!

Susan is a star, and a star that's in the ascendant , and Elaine Paige, while not necessarily a 'has-been' she definitely doesn't have anywhere near as much of the 'likeability factor' as Susan and Susan's management MUST NOT ALLOW Paige to getin on her act!

Liz Hunt from the UK newspaper 'The Telegraph' hit the nail on the head in an article she wrote for the paper. Here is what she said:

How magnanimous of Elaine Paige to let slip that she might deign to record a duet with Britain’s Got Talent sensation Susan Boyle. And how canny of that diminutive diva to make such an offer now. Paige was Boyle’s role model when the latter dreamed her dream, but the Scottish wannabe has eclipsed her heroine, with 100 million hits, and counting, for the YouTube clips of her audition. Boyle’s frumpishness and gauche demeanour have a voyeuristic appeal, but it is her voice that captivates. Was Hollywood’s Queen of Twitter, Demi Moore, ever moved to tears by Paige’s caterwauling rendition of Memory? I doubt it; not unless they were tears of pain. Has Oprah ever pursued sofa-time with Paige as she is doing with Boyle? Did US networks ever doorstep her, even at the height of her Evita fame?

I think we know whose career stands to benefit most from any duet, and it isn’t the woman known as the “Hairy Angel”. I hope Susan Boyle is not so starstruck that she feels unable to tell La Paige what she can do with her patronising gesture. This is Boyle’s bandwagon; she has no need of passengers.
Posted by Ðëмõŋêŝŝ on April 21, 2009
well I am not so starstruck yet, it's matter non the less to put elaine down and kinda funny same idiot's, there raised elaine page to the skies, are now the ones, in same poplications denauncing her.

I always, had that feeling about reporters, stalkers, and wannabe media stars, lending there helping hands, in making a star, for later to take the same star away, because it's good for the publication, they represent, to sell someone, out and in this case, I kinda think you tube, have enough evidance that Elaine page was a superstar, of proportions and when we are, at the millions heres, some apples I can't recist to browse along, 110 million people have seen and also know, who elaine is and what, she stands for and too be honest, someone asked me, about susan boyle and I declined any comments, for if your stateing, moved to tears, you would be taken, that wrong and if your vage about the statement, your not giving the person enough cloud, so all in all, is like a setup, you can't win and in those cases, "no comment" goes a long way.

besides if?, I had the chance, to coach elaine, I would have told her, to be unaviable for comment's, besides she don't need this kinda judgemental BS, theres going on, all is falling over her, like she Elaine, had anything to do with, why Miss Boyle, never was auditioned.

and Liz hunt, is a babling lunatic, no one takes serious. I just had to state that *-), while at it who's oprah anyway's ???? like a critic on who's a star?, or not?. Like in good oll idol style, I can care less, about oprah haven't invited elaine paige to her program, must be because, same elaine, didn't have problems with her weight, or other family drama's to share, with oprah.

end quote.

yeah good deal, but let her sing that with author of same, she's american bette middler, and would prob not go thru all this garbage, by making statements towards making a duet with her.

kinda is a sad day, when things I grew up, to admire and a class, I would preffere to be in is, demolized to zip.

I was young and knew, I had talent, even though, when day come for perfomance. "stagefreight" I wanted to run away, just was Elaine, wouldnt, let me run, away and now people treat her, like garbage, like she have no, feelings and no love, for others, yes she is and was a great star, but she is, an even greater personallity, then anyones knows, carrying and also, helping and not at all, act like the diva she is.

Posted by Ðëмõŋêŝŝ on April 22, 2009
yeah, paul pots and Susan could hook up, in a duet, thereby, no one can hack on any stars, preying on them.

I for real wish, that when susan was asked, what kinda dream she had, she hadn't mentioned elaine paige, there more or less now, gets crucified, by the media and overactiveminded fans, there nearby have it, into a Godly event, that susan had a breakthru in a show,

there normally only have a couple thousand non talented people make a parade of stupidity reality show and here like pearls on a string, they get paul pots and susan boyle out of the hat just when there ratings are crumbling, sorry, no reason for me, to see it so sarcasticly.

But when these people attack a person and an institution I care about for being suddenly non talented because we didn't waited 35 years before we got auditioned but went right, into the bussines it seems like, theres something wrong with that and it's all good,

kinda funny came to say congratz to susan and all the luck in the world and had to see this kinda crap unfold.

just always remember, tomorrow or later, she have to work together with a crew, for her dreams, to come thru and to that time, I would think a lot of people, in the musical scene, might just say no, not to fall, into same trapp elaine have been falling into by fans and media scrutney.

I think she should record her own version of "I Dream a Dream". She doesn't need Elaine Page on that one.
Posted by Ðëмõŋêŝŝ on April 22, 2009
in my eye's

she don't need no one to make, a solo cariere, besides also is, way to early to state anything, after all this is in stage, of being a "hit" sensation of freebee's,

where most have statements towards material, they have seen for free, let's see about same people, hit the scene now, also is paying for her material, in same fold they made there 15 million, hit's on the blog's.

That way, she can after, if that's what she want and the fact be a carrying name, can then probatly, get whoever she choce, to have a duet with, jumping the wagoon.

Good luck to her on that endevour.

Susan said her dream was to become as successful as Elaine. I have watched Elaine's videos and some are beautiful. She is a star in her own rights . But , Susan has a much more powerful voice and a lot more control over any song that she sings . And already her version as well as her performance of I Dreamed a Dream surpasses that of Elaine's version. I would love to see the two recording a duet only for the sake of Susan's wish .Susan, to my mind is absolutely oblivious of the effect her voice has on her audience. Musicians have yet to write musicals and lyrics to bring that powerful voice to its full potential. The theme from The Titanic , I think will be my choice but only to establish rapport between the two.
Posted by Ðëмõŋêŝŝ on April 22, 2009
its like this with music like it is with religion and politic thats what is so nice we all heave certain preferences and we all also have things we like and dislike and is the reason why music have a broad spetre too choce from I wont disagree with you just because of disagrement,

but state, that your wrong, in the reasoning, of the two, you take a piece of music, there was made 18 years ago and set it up to a standard of today, like if you saw a movie 20 years ago and same movie made today apeared better, it's because technology is, so much better today.

besides, time changes, how we look at a certain performance, but I guess that, if you stereotypical, look at what, is new renditioned today, you would see even Elaine Paige would change performance, of same number she made years ago.

and even so, you come from one performance and state, shes that much better, like rome was build in one day and there is no tommorow.

Susan have talent, no one disagree with you there, simsi but for you or other's, to state she surpass the metzo soprano of all time in musical, I would state, let's have this talk again about 3 decades from now, to be fair to any of them.

yeah, I think the same, I don't either think, it would be to benefit any, besides for a dream come thru for Susan, I for real think, both is better off not making it.

and the poor press, would then have to, be finding other target's, for there harrashment/judgemental isues, try to see, if britney or paris haven't, made new stuff for them, to write about, atleast, they love the attention, even the negative attention.

but for real here is a challenge:

all there think that Susan Boyle is this huge talent is to send Susan Boyle 99 cents for viewing her audition and lets see if for real she will get 15 million hit when theres money involved, kinda that would prove it wouldnt it ????

PS: 99 cents is average for download and listen to a tune would be funny too see about all her fans put there money where there statements is.

I think that just proved my point, as long it's all talk, all is into, the making of a star and into, making damage to ones, there is a star, like elaine paige, when it comes to for real, stand up for the statements, and pay for what you recieved, the rats are the first to leave the sinking ship, now I just wish it was so easy to stop the negative presscomment's, doing the same, then we can all go back, to yesterday and appriciate, the stars we had and let new ones rise, as they come along and prove they are just stars, of the magnatude and the proportion's, that the hit's on the internet, so clearly shows, that statements and willingness to pay a performance, is way two different things, to exspect.

Miss Susan Boyle. I have listen intently to Miss Lapone's version of the same song, and my opinion is that your voice and rendition is a much higher, richer quality. You took control of the song and made every note your own. Miss Lapone's version sounds rather hollow by comparison. You have enough talent to go all the way.

I think it is wonderful for Elaine Paige to offer this chance to Susan. I love Ms. Paige and Ms.Boyle so it is a win win for me. At 62 years old I have seen my singers go up and down the charts and I think Susan Boyle will be around for a long time.

My sweet , Demoness , I would gladly pay the 99c if I could be certain that Susan will get it . I await her recordings here in South Africa where 1 British pound equals 15 ZAR and still fluctuating skywards. Also, rest assured that I will definitely be the proud owner of her CD or CD's as long as I know that she will receive the tantieme. Also, rest assured , that I have NEVER idolized any singer not even our own Mimi Coertze who is renowned worldwide and a soprano.Actually I see Susan in La Scala performing Habanera From Carmen That is where she belongs. I am in full agreement with Robert and everybody else .

Susan's voice is so much warmer and richer than Elaine's, while Elaine has her excellent technique. I am pretty sure that in a such duet both of them lose. Susan's voice would shine in its full beauty in a duet with some male singer - but I wonder with who. I don't see any living male singers who could dare do record together with Susan.

Susan has Elaine beat by a mile, with an honest to God given voice~~no lessons, no professionals helping her to develop that wonderful voice God has given her. Susan, if you read this~~please record "Climb Every Mountain" and "How Great Thou Art".

Rather than compare voices and versions, why not support all of these wonderful female singers? I'd love for Susan and Elaine to record "I Still Believe" from "Miss Saigon" or a song specially written for them by Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber!!

Ok simsi, first off, don't patronize me, I am youg but not a fool, for I earned my way to the stage. just is, I didn't came here, to show off, but to congratz Susan, with her performance, what I thought, was great, in the concept, of the show she tended. I still believe, she was at a wrong stage, making this performance and also, didn't know, at the time, that her voice was schooled, so she didn't came from nowhere, but had over the years build up her voice, didn't make her perfomance less, just made it, in a different light, too me. I still think, she's great and wish her all the luck in the world, she deserve a breakthru, but not over the body of elaine paige. but because,of her own earned merits over time, and to state, where I come from, in my view of it all, is from cat's, and here's the link:

<HTML><META HTTP-EQUIV="content-type" CONTENT="text/html;charset=utf-8"> Ðëмõŋêŝŝ. I was 14 and soprano and a teamplayer, the stage have no microphone, to hold onto and no playbacks, but live music and still voices have to be carryed to the back of the theater, so even the ones, in the galleries, are blown away, I am proud of my performance, but is, even more proud of Elaines performance, there goes to show, greatest metzosoprano of all time, holding her seven octaves, impecable and she have been in the limelight, for three decades. and you and other's, can't wisk all that away,. in one performance, from susan boyle, in lended feathers and on a playback you can render, into dayly, to make perfect, before the day you release it, to an audiance there had no clue, in what was happening. if you buy a ticket, in west end and go a see a performance, you know the exspectation will be high, after all it's Elaine paige, singing and music is by Sir Andrew, so exspectation runs high, with Susan's performance, you see, no one saw what was comming, some patronizing, the whole thing, some being cynical, now were all in, for the shocker, and get's blown away, because no one, exspected this too happen. but thing is, it was a great performance and she for sure have talent, but to state now this was better and she have surpassed the metzosoprano, of all time in musical, is not alone way! way! out of line, but is a redicoulas comment. Towards my statement, about you all, sending Susan, a contribution with the 15 million hits, Only was a statement, towards people, can hit the net, for freebee's and make comments towards any, as long theres no money involved, I wanna see all these fan's for real wanna make the statement with the money, where they lay there statements, or it all, is just a free ride. I am not sitting here, seeing Elaine, being put down and out of her three decades of greatness, because some fans and some idiotic pavarazzy, have forgot who they suddenly are talking about. now call me dear again, but is the truth of the matter. whatever you go, to the link and check, or not, is up too you.

now I stated, my peace and can crawl back, under the rock I crawled out from, whatever happens after this, I know I tryed my best, to explain.

In the interview where Elaine Page suggested she and Susan sing a duet, I thought Elaine sounded haughty, like she'd be doing Susan some favor. At this point, there's more in it for Elaine than for Susan. Few outside the UK ever heard of Elaine Page. Susan should continue to do her own thing. She said her dream was a career like Elaine Page's, not that she wanted to sing with her. But if it's some dream of hers to sing with Elaine Page, they can sing together at a charity event or something like that. Susan Boyle doesn't need Elaine Page.

and goes thru like this you here between the lines what you wanna hear and you up front have made your decision what you see is motivation and also up front being against it, makes you say that she wasn't flappergasting susan enough, after your point of view, she should have been soabing and beggin, for a performance, with your idol, dunno who you are, art of cats and for real don't care.

Ðëмõŋêŝŝ.

it was a gesture from elaine nothing more and nothing less

NOBODY outside the UK ever heard of Elaine Page until Susan Boyle mentioned her. A duet with Susan would give Elaine Page's career a boost, but it won't do anything for Susan Boyle.

Sorry if you're big Elaine Page fans, but that's the truth of it.

Thats what I thought,U are a nobody, because about now,you just stated what I thought, you would state you don't know Elaine so no one outside UK know her tour was all over the world and you my friend is in deep denial

second let me make this clear to you I admire Elaine for all she is and I am not in denial about who she is besides my admiration for her is proffesionally and my opinion atleast have the propper cloud 110 million copies of elaine distributed worldwide when you make a stupid comment like you just did make atleast sure too check there atleast is a backup on your statement

Ðëмõŋêŝŝ --who elected you leader of this site? Why so defensive and unpleasant?

It doesn't matter how many times Elaine Page appeared in Cats. That was a million years ago. Chess was not a great hit and nobody knows the songs from that show.

Susan Boyle doesn't need Elain Page or Donny Osmond. It would be a mistake for her to duet with either one of them. If she's hooked up with Simon, he'll steer her away from these missteps.
Posted by Ðëмõŋêŝŝ on April 24, 2009
no one did and I am not any leader of this site either but did you ever think that elaine needs susan???

she was asked and she answered it wasn't her ideer and if she had asked me I would have told her up front to be unaviable for comment's because I knew it was a setup.

and I dunno mr Osmond and for real don't care what he want second if Elaine needed performances all she had to do is one phonecall away.

she don't have or had in plans getting out of her retirement it was a favor U know one of those things if asked you don't mind.

and yeah I would love to see her hook up with simon I hope she's used to count her fingers after the handshake.

I can hardly believe what I am reading with the negative comments towards Elaine Paige. For those of you who had never heard of her is is classed as The First Lady Of British Musical Theatre, not a world wide recording artist. She is first and foremost an actress who just happens to have a fantastic voice. As far as I know after 40 years at the top of her profession she is now slwoing down a bit, so anyone thinking she should be grateful t Susan for reviving her career is speaking out their A****E! She has just finished a major UK tour playing to packed theatres each night, with several standing ovations. She is not a big recording artist in the UAS but played in Sunset Boulevard on Broadyway and was hailed as the best Norma Desmond to date.

Elaine is a kind generous person who is a consumate professional and if Susan would like to accept her offer and duet with her then let her- it would make all of Susans dreams come true! Why not reveive "I Know him so well?" it still hld the record for the biggest selling female duet of all time, and was written by Time Rice especially for Elaine during their 11 year love affair! So yes it is Elaines song and she fronts it- why not?
Posted by Gibbs on April 25, 2009
Just one more thought, all this nasty unplesantness thats unfolding comparing Susan to Elaine is terrible and it must stop.If you are all Susan fans then res[ect her dreams and wishes. Susan Idolises Elaine, so if she were to read all these uneducated comments abut her idol it would be very upsetting for her. You can't compare them, they both have a different style of singing. Susan has a gentle but strong voice, Elaine can sing in several styles, but chooses to Belt Them Out, because thats what her fans want to, hear. Her reaching notes and maintaining them. As far as I now she is now slowing down at the great age of 61 after being on West End stages for the last 40 years. She has sung and danced her way through all the big shows, even when going through personal upset and tradgedy. She is a professional who never fails to deliver, and doesn't go sick and put on her understudy like so many of these reality stars who have got their parts far to quickly and quick stardom shows. Elaine doesn't need anymore fame or money for that matter. Any duet she may do will simply be a kind generous offer to Susan, and I don't think for a moment Elaine or her "people" whould allow Simon Cowell to manipulate her. She is a tiny feisty lady who is a ttal perfectionist and I don't think Simon would mess with her! Good luck to Susan. If I was her I'd be over the mooon to sing with Elaine and Donny( not that anyone wuld want to hear me screeching!!) There are no certanties in this world and as talented as she is, because of her past life she may not be able to make it big time, so let her enjoy these kind offers today while she can!

WOW gibbs.

Me there thought, all had gone crazy, nice too see someone, besides me, trying to keep, the score real.

my worries was and are not Elaine paige, her merits stands up, all by themself.

but is worryed, that the fans of susan, is dammeging her.

If for nothing else, because no one wanna, risk anything now, after these redicoulas attacks, on Elaine.

No one in the english musicalscene, will risk working together with her, since it can put there carriere's, on a hold, in public scrutney and totally unfair media cower, from pava's, there see all welmeaning and comment's from same west end establisement, as "we want a freeride from susan.

I am not, in the UK in the momment and have declined any comments, towards her, to media and will keep doing it, and have no intentions whatsoever, too be booked in the UK.

but will continue my tour and exstend it too, so I can stay out of UK as long as possiable, too the media have other things, too write about and also get, this crap back, in right proportion's and yes Elaine is foremost the queen of musical in UK, but is also known all over the world and have sales, there can tickle even the most discriminative fan/media columnist, theres against her.

My believe is, all these attacks are, because envy and the sad part is, that envy isn't a thing susan boyle, ever wanted to be a part of, she admire's Elaine and in a way you guy's, behavior hurts her.

thankies, for the comment's gibbs and of all thankies for putting simon cowel, into the right perspective.

I think she like me, should be a free agent and not have him, too prey on her talent, "she don't need passenger's," I heard someone state and it's here, she for sure don't need, the passenger's, there take huge cut's, of her predictable high income, in future.

I love my privacy, way to much, to risk getting involved, in this circus and for sure, have seen more than I for real like, I got a favor ones from Elaine, there shaped who, I am and now, I return same favor if I can.

thats all, but my cower, isn't better, than if you are a fan of musical, it's not that hard, to figure out, landed smack, in the middle of the video, tapeing in 1998.

Demoness, are you trying in some not-so-subtle fashion to tell us that you are one of the performers who appeared in the filmed version of 'Cats' which was made for television in the late 90's? (Sorry, but I'm trying to make a bit of sense out of your posts here, and it's not so easy.) Why are you 'hiding your identity', yet practically begging us to 'figure it out'? I wanted you to know that I (happily) managed to videotape one of those performances which was aired on PBS in the US, and still have the VHS tape to enjoy; it was the only time I ever got to see Elaine Paige perform in anything, 'Cats', or otherwise, although I've certainly heard about her over the years. She was wonderful in that PBS production! The only thing 'wrong' with the entire thing was, none of the 'Growltiger's Last Stand' sequence was included, thus we didn't get 'The Italian Aria' or any of the rest of it, and that particular 20-minute sequence is a 'Cats' highlight. I really missed it, having seen an excellent live road show version of 'Cats' back in the 1980s. But I've never lived anywhere near where Elaine has performed, even when she has come to the US, thus never got to see her perform live in anything. Now then--this whole business seems to have deteriorated into a 'Susan vs Elaine' battle, and why was that ever necessary? If a person states that Susan Boyle doesn't 'need' to sing a duet with Elaine Paige, why must that be taken as a put-down of Elaine herself? Neither of them 'need' to sing with each other, but eventually, some kind of duet performance and/or recording between them might be a bit of a treat, for all concerned. The point is, this IS a Susan Boyle fan site, not an Elaine Paige fan site, and folks here are a bit stirred up just now; we're experiencing a rather new phenomenon, what with all the YouTube 'hits' happening. Honestly--there are plenty of wonderful singers out there, including on YouTube--I have several personal favorites I enjoy listening to, although I greatly prefer listening to artists via purchased CDs, not on YouTube clips--and people can tend to get rather worked up on fan sites about whomever 'their' special favorites happen to be. I can find no good reason for artistic comparisons that come off sounding like put-downs, however. Those begin to look like nothing more than mere trolling after awhile. I've seen it happen before on other fan sites for other artists, and it isn't pretty. So I do hope the ugliness which has begun to come out here can finally be put to rest. Peace, everyone.

teasing part, came about, if you for real had read my profile. you would have known I wasn't going to reveal anything.

second, this is a susan fan website your right, but derogating someone I like, I see fit to make comment on, if you or other's dont like Elaine Paige name, being mentioned here, you should have had schooled your fellow fans, not to derogate, her here and probatly no one, would have made a comment.

thats just about summs it all up.

so if you didnt get my sash, its okies with me, sorry I was laughing, but couldn't recist.

besides ventured in here to state congratz too Susan nothing more.

and besides, I never compare any too other artist, since no one is a like and sometimes even artist reinvent themselves, to get even more perfect, elaine is a good exsample of just that, age and technology is sometimes progress and yeah, I am a soprano and yes was on that tape, even though that won't help you or gibbs anything.

and since you don't know the whole story,

about elaines inclination, towards making a duet with susan, it was, more or less the interviewer of her, asking her and knowing elaine, would say, sure, because it's just the way she is, elaine is going 62 and have no use for any promo's, if she needed promo's, the whole world is open for her, it's that simple one phonecall and shes back in the hall "royal albert hall".

You are a 'soprano' (maybe) who just happened to be a cast member in that televised version of 'Cats' from 1998, alongside Elaine--safe to say your total anonymity is 'now and forever' protected. Lucky you, I'd say. (Just between you and me--I happen to think Elaine Paige is a truly wonderful singing actress. That STILL doesn't make this an Elaine Paige fan site.) Of course you are going to need to have the last word anyway, or I should say, last words, so I quit. Peace.

and I guess you missed the point it wasn't just that she didnt needed elaine it was the garbage posted with it from Liz Hunt there's all pure fiction and a very lively imagination of same reporter, there at best can make a good stand as a good, soho hoe and have to my mind, never got the point that the publication having her on staff have that garbage maddam still going strong.

and secondly the idiocy of stateing that susan boyle surpassed 3 too four decades of greatness in one performance what I simply just find a redicoulas statement and had to make a statement towards it.

and that just about sums its all up I state too I for real don't meself take my statements all that serious

just because I act and perform don't make me a better human being than everyone else and for real isn't all that setled in my view of the world meaning I change my mind depending on what shoes I have on.

just because grammar, isn't all perfect, don't mean same people can't speak english, besides this is the net where all shortforms are allowed and people normally don't have the time and energy to wait four too 10 minutes on an answer with correct spelling and grammar.

Besides that, by a study by cambridge university statements are very clear, as long first and last letter in a word is correct and even structure isn't perfect, even a second grader, can read the lines and make sense of them, it's kinda funny now you mention it,

it's usually the people there concidder themselves interlectual, there is the people, using the same statement, just with one difference, they have the "type" correct and don't mention speach. since they haven't ever heard the person speak, there type on these pages.

If it doesn't make sense in English it isn't worth reading. Gibberish just takes up space.

Post a vocal or video instead.

COME ON NOW stop all this bitchyness ,they are both great and all I would like to see or better still hear,,,,,,,A CD as simple as that .
Posted by Ðëмõŋêŝŝ on April 27, 2009
well it's your choice, about you want to read, the postings or not.

It's not like anyone force to read anything, if you can't understand the statements,

why not just move on and pretend, you didn't see them, it's not like anyone, changes the way they type, to please any and maybe,

the ones you state you can't deciffer, isn't good at typeing or even better, isn't having english, even as fifth language and don't care if it's gramaticly wrong.

Then atleast they have an excuse, for typo's not too knock you, but what's your excuse for having typo's ?.

You are monopolizing the discussions. Stop.
Posted by Sandyjools on April 27, 2009
Susan has had a voice coach or she has the most god given vocal abilities to have taught herself. Doesn't matter which one, its for all to enjoy and we should Thank God she was given this chance to preform for the world. We will all be richer in spirit for it!
Posted by Ðëмõŋêŝŝ on April 27, 2009
well I don't see anyone else, posting anything and why should I stop, if you don't like it, theres like 14 diff topic's on the susan sites, so you have enough space and monopolizing?, isn't that what you just did now, trying to hush me ????.

I mean, I don't tell you what to do, so please don't tell me either.

Jealousy reigns supreme among small minds but shows it true face when challenged. From a person that has trained many a pupil... Susan Boyle is top billing material, all others move over and let the star shine.
Posted by Gibbs on April 28, 2009
I think everyone is missing the point here. Susan has a great voice and talent, however what does she want to really doo with it? She states she want's to be as successfull as Elaine Paige- well thats a great dream and a compliment to Elaine. However Elaine isn't just a singer she acts and dances and has the professionalism and stamina and discipline to appear for years in west and and broadway shows doing 8 shows a week. All this comparison has to stop- its simply not poossible to compare fairly. Let Susan find her own way and stop putting down her idol, would Susan want that, especially if she is to meet her idol and sing a duet with her. Its not a competition, its a celebration of a woman who has been given a chance to shine!
Posted by Ðëмõŋêŝŝ on April 28, 2009
well I stay, with the initial statement and there is no comparison, at all whatsoever, elaine paige is in a class of her own, she have 3 decades too prove just that, have been working and have hit's in the musical scene, like no one else.

I wont down susan, I think shes great and have a talent too, just is I don't compare, apples with oranges. because in the end, you don't even get the taste of pineapples.

Susan have talent but also a schooled voice she have been tutored for about 15 years, after her own statements, so didn't came totally out of nowhere.

don't mean her performance, was anything less, you still have to perform and use a voice, she have both, let her merits, speak down the road, as fans of her it's nice to see you all wanna higher your idol, to the skies, but, she so not any Elaine Paige, only Elaine is and it will, take long for any, even Susan, to reach her hight and quality, if ever.

she said : it was a dream for her, to have a cariere like elaine paige, not like she wanted to be her, or think she was better than her

end quote.

It is almost beginning to look like Susan's idol took on a false persona on Susan's fan site - which I can't imagine! Elaine Paige seems like such a gracious, intelligent lady.

well she's your age lady and is very intelligent too,

so you didn't, miss a thing there.

You have been sent a message from Susan Boyle FanSite.

Sent by: Noella

You could actually be a benefit to us as a group, with your knowledge but you would have to couch it in an acceptable and respectful manner. It could be a venue for you to learn some things - like how to get along with people outside your profession - the public who pay money to see you, and put the food on your table. You must stop what you are doing on the boards. Fans are what your livelihood comes from. You have such a low opinion of the public! How can you preform for the public and yet have nothing but disgust for them? This is a Susan Boyle fan site. Please let it be for her fans and not a sounding board for your angry and immature, petulant behavior. Leave, come back as a new profile, and a team player as you say you are. This in not a venue for professional people and you cannot hold everyone to the standards of professional singers.

answer too noella

first off. I never ever did diss my fans, not now and not ever.

second: I answer to no one but myself.

third: if I wanted your opinion, I would have asked you for it.

fourth: I do not have a followlist, with any and don't want any, to follow me, I am an individual person not a follower and don't need any echo's, especially not echo's from someone there accuses people for disrespecting the people, there is the main reason for my excistance in music, my opinion's stands for me and no one else.

fifth I do so not believe, that I have too leave no where and comeback, with another profile to please any of whatever group your on, besides you also stated that, I could be an access and learn something, I kinda don't think, I can learn anything from you, or your group besides backstabbing, someone in there mail, because your obviously is affraid of stateing the same out in the open.

and yes I do keep it high in my proffession if any dare to compare themself and others with masterpiece performances/performers, they better themself, be master as same, or not make statements, on empty grounds.

no responce neccesary on my mail, door is closed.

and besides just so you know my singing is a hobby I have and not my mealticket I am born with a golden spoon and never had to work one day in my life for anything even so I work and sing and put myself thru commonlaw/national economy because I can use it in the companies I own I am a royal mudd theres born in colombia grew up on manhattan and wales is as much regarded for my music talent as for my bright, in bussines is awarded by the pope paul for my humanitary actions for children, in the third world and even more awards to add, but wont bore you with it and also wont blow my cower.

so don't even for a sec, state that I don't have skills towards public, you don't know me at all lady, and let us keep it that way and angry, I am not and dunno where in hell, you got that ideer from, in the first place.

at only one point, in all the crap you stated, I can grant you a little, I might not be, all that mature, in all my points, but I guess that comes, with my young age.

"Out of the abundance of the heart speaks the mouth". We know others by their words. It reveals what is in their heart.
Posted by Gibbs on May 01, 2009
Well if nobody else is going to say it I am. Who ever you are saying you know Elaine etc etc and how you have been born with a golden spoon in your mouth. I think quite frankly you are a nutcase! Anyone who has been educated esp to the level you say should be able to write and spell better than you. If you have done all the things you have and know all the people you say I don't know how you have time to write such pathetic ridiculous comments here! I am and Elaine fan, but this is as Susan Boyle site, and you are using it simply to tell everyne about this wonderful talented life you are living!! I don't believe a single thing you have written. No doubt you will reply in your usual agressive uneducated way- but please do as suggested previously GO AWAY. We are not interested in your fantasy life.

I'm so glad I found this site. Susan Boyle is an angel...I'm so sick about the comments about her appearance. I live in the U.S., and I was first a little envious, because it seemed the UK is less superficial...I hope she has a makeover if she wants one, and if she wants to stay the way she is thats up to her.Just because the public saw her incredible performance, no one owns her, no one spent the years training, going on degrading auditions year after year. She is my absolute hero. She is beautiful inside and out. This is her day, and I hope people will give her enough space to relish every moment. I still cry sometimes when I watch the video on BGT. First, because of the lousy reception, then I cry out of happiness...it's just the most inspiring, uplifting story I've heard in a long, long time. I wanted to meet other people who feel like I do. There seems to be some bickering...I totally agree with the person who said lets let this site be for her fans. I also agree with the person who said we all need to stop congragulating ourselves that we're "big enough" to recognize her amazing talent, when she's not considered by most people_a beauty queen.

Looks like the site owner did put an end to the trolling, even though when you click on the profile in question, looks like it is still there. He TOLD me the person causing the problem couldn't post any more, and would be removed though. Looks like things are going to be all right again now, so no more worries.

she's* still here and as far I am concern, I havent stated or done anything wrong, so why don't you just move on.

if anyone here, was not playing by the book, it was the canadian nurse and not me.

and besides, I have never ever stated, not here and not anywhere else, "to tell everyne about this wonderful talented life you are living!! " what is your statement and your's alone.

and the time to make a statement is a couple minutes I am not like you and others, sitting here 24/7, but check my listings a couple times a day when I am on anyway's.

now move on if you can, or don't it's not bothering me either way and besides, so you know english, isn't even my fifth language, but nice derogating try, I wanna see you write in a couple other languages dayly and still be perfect, in a language there isn't your main language and then have someone state to you, that your uneducated and see how you feel, as I stated, before and do again, I don't care, about any's opinion enough, too even for one second, letting it bother me, what your opinion on me is.

It clearly is bothering you, or you wouldn't be responding like this. I know Elaine very well and she hasn't got a clue who you are! If the owner manager of this site is watching this blog, thenthey should put a stop to this dialouge now.

Howdy Pards,

Well, the truth of the matter is that out on the prairies there just ain't no trees. Nope. None whatsoever. But I heard somethin' once that makes a lotta sense to me...it was a question: "If a tree fell in the woods and nobody was around to listen to it...would it make a noise?"

The answer I suppose is no. It might try to make a noise...but if there weren't nobody listenin' it just would not succeed...

So, if someone was tryin' to make a noise just to get others kinda riled up some...and nobody listened, would that noise work? The answer I suppose is no. Might be kinda frustratin' to the one who was tryin' to rile things up some...but I think this here method would work.

It's kinda strange how some folks just keep on a keepin' on...even though they know that nuthin' constructive is bein' accomplished by doin' so...

So, the way I figure it, if somebody's baitin' a hook and danglin' that bait around for others to bite on it... it's best just to ignore it. Stop nibblin' and eventually that person doin' the fishin' is gonna figure out that the fish in this pond ain't payin' attention...and are just not interested in that bait!

The onliest thing we oughter be talkin' about on this here fans site is a nice lady named Susan. That's who we are here to celebrate! And, the way I figure it it's a lot more fun celebratin' her than listenin' to some of the other stuff we've been listenin' to around here.

So...the moral of this here story is...stop nibbin'... when somebody throws a baited hook into this here pond. Don't listen to no trees fallin' neither...least wise don't let'em know you're listenin'...ignore the noise and listen to the beautiful music bein' sung by Susan Boyle.

Reckon we can't control what a person says...but we can control how we react to it. If people stop listen maybe the noise will stop.

If we all do that I reckon things will be a whole lot more peaceful around these parts. Hope so anyways...let's get back to Miss Susan...Adios for now. Talk to ya on down the trail. Wild Ol' Dan

Posted by Gibbs on May 04, 2009
0h God. Another nutter! Why not just stick to talking about Susan as its her fan site, and stop using it to project how we individuals feel we deal with life!!!!

Howdy Pards,

Well, I believe the day is comin' when Elaine introduces Susan to a lotta folks down there in the West End and maybe on Broadway as well. No matter what they sing together it will be a joy to listen to and one more of Susan's dreams comin' true...

See...I ain't bitin' on no hooks...and I didn't hear no tree fallin' either...

Adios for now. Talk to ya on down the trail.

Miss Susan Boyle is an inspiration to us all and should have won BGT. Susan, you are a winner and I do hope you will continue to sing. I am eager to see an album with your face on the cover and your beautiful voice filling my home with music. Everytime I hear you sign it gives me chills of pleasure.
