Sorry Elaine, but your rasping rendition is knocked into a cocked hat by Susan. There is simply no comparison in my book; no contest.

I like Elaine, I think she is a terrific singer, but as Dellygal said this one belongs to Susan now,it is the incredible voice and the credibility in Susan. Elaine performes it, Susan lives it. Thanks again Tommy for keeping the good work and posting great videos. Score: 10

I fully agree with dellygal!!! I saw the film production of "Cats"; & stage production years ago with Elaine Paige & I always liked her voice but her long experience on stage is a lot different from Susan's fresher new voice & their ages is not a consideration for the Beauty of their Voices!!!

Elaine Page is good, but Susan is awesome. I could listen to Susan sing "I Dreamed A Dream" over & over. I also really preferred the way she sang it at the auditions over the way she sang it for the final...either way, Susan is fantastic all by herself....she needs no one. I want a CD!!

If you've never heard Elaine Paige before, please don't think she always sings in this way. She has a strong and powerful voice and is way better than this clip shows her being. When they finally make their song together, you won't be disappointed, I'm certain.

As a singer who sings solo, duets and sings with a quartet, I have to say that I don't believe these voices would fit well together. Susan's voice is so much more powerful than Elaine Paige's. Their styles are so different, it would mean a total change for either one of them. Elaine is used to singing a part in a play. Susan opens it up and gives it all she's got. Susan would have to subdue her voice and Elaine would have to "bring it up from the big toe" as we here in the South say. She would really need to up the volume. Both are used to singing solo so does either one sing other parts? Susan said she would like to be as famous as Elaine Paige. She didn't say she wanted to sing like Elaine. I think the song "I dreamed a dream" belongs to Susan now.

Irespect Susan's admiration for Elaine Page. They will perhaps even sing together one day. But for me, that Special Moment when Susan reached out to us through BGT contest, That is a very Sacred Moment that belongs only to Susan. This is Her Dream, her Voice This a her very Amazing Accomplishment. And she did all by herself. It belongs to her.

I didn't like this one. The interjecting of Elaine's voice and image I found to be distracting and a detraction from Susan's "stunning&quot; performance. With all due respect to Ms. Page, I think she might want to reconsider her offer to record a duet with our Susan Boyle, as Susan is certain to vocally "outshine&quot; her! Susan's desire was to sing as well as Ms. Page, but I suggest that she got her desire and more! In my world, I believe Susan to be the better singer of the two. However, if Susan wants to do a duet with Ms. Page, then obviously she will do so...but hopefully, not "I Dreamed a Dream", as surely that song "belongs&quot; to Susan now!

Both these ladies are great but in different ways. Elaine is an actress who can sing...she has many great roles to her credit. I was there for her first previews of Evita in London & it was obvious then she was going to be a great star despite her diminutive frame. Susan has a fantastic natural voice which can soar above anyone. Susan does not plan to be come a musical actress...she is the perfect concert performer & recording artiste. I hope she makes many albums of modern classics which she will stampo with her own unique interpretations...there is no limit to how great Susan will become or how high her stardom will soar. I await her CD asap!
